Single mother trying to go back to school

I am a single mother of one and would like to go back to school to get my LPN license at my local vocational center. The program is one year long. The problem is that the classes are monday-friday, 8-4 and I would be unable to work due to no babysitter in the evenings and on the weekends. I really want to go back and financial aid will not be enought to live off of and pay my bills. I want off welfare and I want to live in a nice neighborhood and raise my child, this is not possible right now and they only way to change it is to go back to school. Can you help in any way or redirect me to who may be able to?

See if your school has online classes. That might help with working around your schedule at work.

hey im donna i'm in tha same position like you but the only thing thats diff is i have my family there for me and my 2 angels . have you tried the goverment help i tried it once for foodstamps i did get them for just having 1 child then got a job i took them off b/c i didnt like having that i got thought to work things out for my self i tried but sometimes u cant do it your self . i really cant say nothing about your man leaving you b/c im still with mine but juss try getting help buy going to you social service department in your county. the should be able to help in daycare,clothing,food. i know its hard to get on you feet but just KEEP YOU HEAD UP!!! i hope this helped something but if you need some one to talk to jus email me @ shortydm88@yahoo.com
